Welcome to A&G Driving Solutions Ltd.
Been made redundant or not happy in your current employment and looking for a fresh start in a new career?
Are you honestly committed to helping others, would like to be in control of when and how you work?
Then look at becoming a Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor (DSA ADI).
Already training, but feel let down by your training provider?
To become an ADI you need to have your name entered onto the DSA ‘Register of Approved Driving Instructors’.
You achieve this by passing a three part qualifying exam. All the information you need is in the DSA’s ‘ADI Starter Pack’.
By clicking on the two links below, you can download these for free as the DSA no longer prints them.
‘The ADI 14‘, the ‘Application Form (ADI 3)‘.
You will also need an enhanced level criminal record check. To request a disclosure application form or details of how to apply online call the Capita Recruitment Vetting Service (CRVS) Helpline on Tel 0870 850 2455. When you have returned this form to them, you will receive the disclosure report and reference number. You will need to put the disclosure reference number on your ADI 3 form when you apply to the DSA for registration as a PDI.
Click here, ‘ORDIT Register‘, to view the DSA Register for ADI Trainers.
You will need the following:
To hold a UK or EU driving licence and to have held this licence for four out of the past six years.
To be a fit and proper person, to have your name entered onto the ADI Register.
Any motoring offences still in force are taken into account when assessing your suitability to entered onto the ADI Register.
Not to have been disqualified at any time during the last four years.
A clean licence is best, however the DSA do consider drivers who have endorsements.
Three points is not likely to be a problem, however five points or more and you should either contact us or contact the DSA directly on: 0300 200 1122, before going any further.
